Former NMB48 Sutou Ririka appeared at “THE EMPTY STAGE 2018 WINTER”

NMB48 member Sutou Ririka shocked the world and her fellow AKB48G members back in June 2017 for her declaration of getting married to her boyfriend speech at the Sosenkyou Elections.

At first fans wondered if she was joking because of the no-dating rule instituted among all idols who are part of AKB48G.

But the tabloid Bunshun exposed the relationship as true and it caused a fury among AKB48G who called her out for her speech.  Oshima Yuko would go as far as releasing a video with the F-word on her hat when discussing Sutou’s speech.

In August 2017, Sutou would graduate from NMB48.

Modelpress asked Sutou about how things are with her fiance and also her university exams.

Sutou said, “I graduated with my high school diploma last December and I’m currently taking the exam for university with the purpose of studying in Germany.”

Sutou continued, “I plan to get married to my boyfriend in April of this year.  Preparations are ongoing.  We have not decided on what day to sign up (note: In Japan, the couple must enter a family registration), but we are looking at purchasing a new house.”
