Highly sought out all-female band known for all-things Pink, an excessive appetite for dumplings, and a genre-less sound with lyrics that redefine the definition of “cute”, will be releasing their critically acclaimed 1st studio album, PINK , on US indie label Burger Records in February 2018, followed by performances at Austin’s annual music festival SXSW and headlining shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Long Beach, and San Diego!
PINK is CHAI’s 1st studio album featuring 11 “feel-good” tracks with sounds ranging from Pop, New Wave, Rock, and Hip Hop set for release on February 16th, 2018. With infectious instrumentals, catchy lyrics that infuse uplifting messages about “complexes” such as tracks, N.E.O. and sayonara complex, topped with high-pitched vocals, CHAI continues to gather fans worldwide by challenging society’s “norms” one song at a time. The album will also be available for streaming/download worldwide on platforms such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify starting February 16th, 2018.
US indie label, Burger Records, soon caught wind of the band, immediately including them in their 2017 BURGER WORLD JAPAN Compilation series. Burger Records, founded in 2007 by Thee Makeout Party! members, Sean Bohrman and Lee Rickard, is Fullerton, CA’s go-to music sanctuary with a history of not only supporting the underground indie scene, but also the development of 750 bands, releasing over 100 LPs, and curating pop-up shops from SXSW all the way to Tokyo’s Shibuya district. Burger Records has and continues to connect the rock ’n’ roll history with today’s teenage consciousness, thus making it the perfect home for CHAI.
