Amuro Namie wins “Best Artist of the Year” and “Best Album of the Year” and NGT48 wins “Best New Artist of the Year” and “Best 5 Artists of the Year” for the 32nd Annual Japan Gold Disc Award 2018

The Japan Gold Disc Award 2018 has announced the distinguished winners of the prestigious award.

ARTIST OF THE YEAR – Amuro Namie / ALBUM OF THE YEAR – Amuro Namie – “Finally”

Amuro said, “I am honored to receive such an award.  Thank you to those who celebrated my anniversary live and for “Finally”.  I am very grateful to all the fans who have given their support.  I am very thankful”.

Amuro Namie’s “Finally” reached a million in sales for its first week, reached two million sales in two months.

BEST NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR – NGT48, Grace Vander Waal and TWICE

NGT48’s Kitahara Rie said, “We are very thankful for this very honorable award of ‘New Artist of the Year” and ‘Best 5 New Artists’.  This is an award shared among our members, our staff but also to the fans who supported us.  To everyone in the Niigata Prefecture and everyone.  We are very thankful to all of you!”.
