Kanjani∞ member Shibutani Subaru (36) announced that he will be leaving Johnny’s Jimusho at the end of 2018.

It was also announced that the group’s best album “GR8EST (Greatest)” will be released on May 30th and will be the last work featuring all seven members of Kanjani∞.

The group will be going on a 5 major dome tour beginning on July 15th and will only feature six members.

According to Johnny’s, on February 15th, Shibutani told them that he will be quitting Johnny’s Jimusho as he plans to live and study music overseas.

At the press conference, Shibutani said that he had been thinking about leaving since he was 35 but he came to realization back in January of this year.

Shibutani said the reason for leaving the office is that he is 36-years-old and for half his life, he was with Johnny’s Jimusho and Kanjani∞, but he wants to pursue studying abroad and complete his life with being responsible for himself alone.  Shibutani said he was considering studying abroad in an English-speaking country.
