Mizushima Shinji’s “Dokaben Dream Tournament Edition” coming to an end/”Dokaben” series began back in 1972

Mizushima Shinji is a Japanese manga aritst best known for baseball manga such as “Yakyu-kyo no Uta”, “Dokaben” and “Abu-san”.

His work has been collected in well over 500 tankobon volumes and “Dokaben” is a series that generations of Japanese have grown up reading.

From it’s first series that was released from 1972-1981, it was followed by “Dai Koshien” (1983-1987), “Dokaben Professional Baseball” (1995-2003), “Dokaben Superstars” (2004-2012) and his most recent work “Dokaben Dream Tournament” (2012-present).

“Dokaben Dream Tournament” is serialized in “Shukan Shonen Champion” and the final round will be featured on J une 28th, and is the final chapter of the “Dokaben” series, ending the 46-year history of “Dokaben” series.
