The live-action film “BLEACH” will be released in theaters on July 20th.

Directed by “GANTZ”, “I am a Hero” and “The Princess Blade” director Sato Shinsuke and featuring a screenplay adaptation by Habara Daisuke (“Hula Girls”, “Break Through!”).

Many fans of “BLEACH” wanted to know what mangaka Kubo Tite (who created “BLEACH”) thinks about the film, which prompted Kubo Tite to post the following on Twitter:

Kubo wrote, “I would like to see where director Sato takes the original work and see what he cuts off”.

Kubo said that he didn’t have much involvement in the live-action film but he had two requests.  One was “Do not change the distance and relationship between the characters” and “Do not make a discrepancy in the character’s feelings and actions”.

Kubo also said that “I will not write a comment, if I do not like it”.

The creator of “BLEACH” also wrote that the live-action film will be different from the original manga especially with the ability of live-action films to showcase speed and the scale of action sequences.

Kubo asked for people to please comment and write about the film and to please go out and watch the film.

Let’s just hope that the live-action film is much more consistent to the original source compared to the “Attack on Titan” action films.
