Comic Market (Comiket) 96 and 97 will expand to four days in 2019

It was announced that Comic Market (Comiket) 96 and 97 for 2019 will be held for four days, a first time for the long time event.

Comiket 96 will be held on August 9-12 and December 28-31.

Because of the Tokyo Olympic Games of 2020, there will be renovation work being done at Tokyo Big Sight, so the main east exhibition will be unusable in 2019.

The reason for expanding to four days is because the area will be reduced to 75% of its current level, even if three locations are used at Tokyo Big Sight.

Comic Market is an event that sales doujinshi, novels, games and music and has been in operation since 1975 and held twice a year, in the summer and winter.
