Despite her popularity and many fans feeling she has a very good voice, AKB48 Kenkyuusei (trainee) Yahagi Moeka (16) has not yet been promoted as a full member.

The youngest sister of SKE48’s Team KII, Yahagi Yukina (who graduated last month), unfortunately Moeka didn’t pass the auditions for the AKB48 16th Generation at the final round.  But she became an AKB48 Kenkyuusei on November 2017 who would be drafted into Team K earlier this year.

At the AKB48 13th Anniversary performance, it was announced that Yahagi was promoted to become a full member and is selected to have a solo concert on January 16th at Tokyo Dome City.

This was the first time in AKB48 history that a research student was presented with this honor to have her own solo concert.
