Sashihara Rino returns to Fuji TV Wide Show, she and Downtown’s Matsumoto Hiroshi discussed the uproar he received

Back in mid-January, Downtown’s Matsumoto Hitoshi (55) is receiving a lot of flack for his comments towards Sashihara Rino (26) on Fuji TV’s “Wide Show”.

Sashihara was discussing her feeling on management’s response to NGT48’s Yamaguchi Maho assault and when asked that it should be good for her to be an inbetween as managers and members, Sashihara talked about how it would be difficult as there are many singers and few managers.

Matsumoto tried to make a joke with Sashihara that she can use her body because she’s good at that. While everyone laughed, Sashihara replied “What are you saying?”.

Matsumoto immediately received vitriole on social media, even professionals and newscasters upset with many people saying his comments were sexual harassment.

On February 3rd, Sashihara Rino (26) returned to the program and she and Matsumoto discussed what has happened.

Matsumoto discussed the uproar and said that he received a lot of messages that what he said was sexual harassment.

Matsumoto said he was very excited at that time, too excited and he regretted what he said.  And said if he has something to say in the future, he will do it.
