Momoiro Clover Z fans saddened that Momota Kanko will be getting her teeth fixed

It’s often said in Japan that idols with certain noticeable double teeth, fangs or certain characteristics are popular. So, popular that women who wanted to look like idols got artificial canines to get the tsuke-yaeba look glued (permanently or temporary) to their canine.

For Momoiro Clover Z leader, Momota Kanako is known for her double tooth but she wrote an Instagram post about having her teeth fixed on her Instagram page to the chagrin of fans and got the OK for orthodonic treatment. But she was surprised by the comments by fans who liked her teeth as is.

Fans commented:

Can’t you leave your teeth alone as is? It’s your charming point.

Do you worry about having a double tooth? Stop. You look good as is!

I want to see a new Momota with her new tooth arrangement.
