“Tatoe Hai ni Natte mo” mangaka Oniyazu Kakashi passed away

Fans of the manga 4-panel manga series “Tatoe Hai ni Natte mo” were surprised to find out that mangaka Oniyazu Kakashi, the creator of the series has passed away.

The editorial dept. released a statement on the Young Gangan website that Oniyazu passed away on February 2nd.

Back on January 25th, Oniyazu talked about the result of an examination in regards to his heart problems and that he would need a pacemaker and said he has suffered from the serious illness since he was young.

そういえば検査の結果折からの心臓の病にやっと病名が付いたよ！
発作性房室ブロックなる病気らしい！
ペースメーカーを埋め込む手術を強くお勧めされました。
若年にしてかかる大病を患うことになろうとは・・・。
情けなくも腹立たしい限りかな。

“Tatoe Hai ni Natte mo”  was serialized in “Young Gangan” (Square Enix) since issue No. 01 2016 (released back in December 18, 2015), the final chapter 56 which was released in February 1st would be its last according to editors.

As for the future of the series, the editorial team will make an announcement at a later time.
