Yokoyama Yui to pass the baton to Mukaichi Mion as the new AKB48 General Director on April 1st

Yokoyama Yui announced at the most recent Team A performance that AKB48 Team A member Mukaichi Mion will be taking over as the new General Director on April 1st.

Yokoyama thanked everyone on Twitter for supporting her as the second generation General Director. While Yokoyama took over General Director with first generation director, Takahashi Minami’s graduating from the group, Yokoyama is not graduating and will continue to stay on as a member of AKB48.
