And now she has posted on Twitter about her graduation.

Hasegawa wrote:

Sorry for this being the first post in a very long while. Yesterday I announced my graduation at Team G’s senshuuraku.

So, I’ll be happy if you can read this.

I, Hasegawa Rena, will be graduating from NGT48.

I’m very happy to have met everyone who has supported me and of course everyone that is part of Team Hasegawa315.

I will definitely treasure meeting all of you in the future as well. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me and who have helped me realize my dreams and goals.

I thank you very much for supporting me and cheering me on.

My final handshake event is on May 6th and I will be participating in handshake events on April 29, 30 and May 3, 5 and 6th. So, there are not may handshake events left but I do hope we can still talk.

My last day of activities are on May 18th and I am allowed to hold my graduation performance alongside Maho-chan and Riko.

For the situation to become like this, I know many of my fans who have supported me are worried and sad and although I should work harder in the future, I chose to graduate and I do apologize.

For the future, I want to do my best to head towards a new dream and goal.

I have only a few idol activities left but I would like to stand in front of everyone as an idol that I can only be.

I will do my best with all my strength to the very end, so I look forward to your support.
