LISTEN: IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura in tears on her radio show, thanks WIZ*ONE for making IZ*ONE’s return possible

IZ*ONE’s Miyawaki Sakura’s radio show on Bay FM titled “Konya, Sakura no Kinoshita de” (a.k.a. Saku no Ki) made its return on February 19th.

Miyawaki talked about the difficult period of being on the three month hiatus.  Having been an idol for nine years, it was the first time in her life to have no activities for three months.  Sakura also said as an idol, her job is to make people smile and bring happiness to people and in those three months, she wasn’t able to.  She worried so much that WIZ*ONE maybe heartbroken and very thankful to fans who waited for IZ*ONE to return.

Miyawaki discussed how she would read her messages for her listeners and hearing the messages which gave her more power, feeling the power of connections between people.  But she wanted to say to people, “please wait for us” but she was unable to say anything and was frustrated.

Sakura discussed how IZ*ONE would have not returned if it was not for WIZ*ONE.  Without them, their return wouldn’t be possible and wants to create memories with everyone from here on forward.

She thanked WIZ*ONE for the hashtag events everyday and she could really fell it.

As for “FIESTA”, they practiced the choreography of the song more than any other song.

As for the radio show’s return, Sakura tried not to cry but you can hear her cry multiple times and says that feeling the love of WIZ*ONE is one of her happiest moments during the three month hiatus.

Miyawaki Sakura and her radio program have been off air since November 20th due to the “Produce” scandal in South Korea. In its place, AKB48/HKT48 members have temporarily filled in the spot until Miyawaki Sakura was able to return.

Sakura has had her radio show since April 2017.
