Fans start hashtag trend on Twitter hoping for Watanabe Mayu’s return

Watanabe Mayu (aka Mayuyu) has not returned back to the entertainment world and her last SNS post was back on New Year’s Eve, which is surprising considering the popularity of the former AKB48 member.

It is still unknown of why Watanabe Mayu has been out of the entertainment spotlight these past few months, and even on her birthday, with fans and also AKB48 members wishing Watanabe “happy birthday”, there was no reply.

On Twitter, the hashtag “＃まゆゆ繋ぎ” (Mayuyutsunagi/Mayuyu Connection) has been trending with fans trying to show their support and hope that she will make her return.
