Actress Takeuchi Yuko was found dead

It was revealed that actress Takeuchi Yuko (40) was found dead on September 27th.

Her body was discovered by her husband, actor Nakabayashi Taiki (35) who found her at their home in Tokyo and he immediately called 119.

Her death was confimed at the hospital and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is carefully investigating the possibility of suicide.

UPDATE: Stardust Promotions, Inc. has posted a statement about Takeuchi:

“To all who are concerned and the fans, today, on Septemgber 27th, Takeuchi Yuko (40), who belongs to our company, died at home.  We would like to announced this painful news to all the people, especially the fans who supported her.  The talents and employees are stunned and saddened by the sudden news.  The situation is currently being confirmed.  We would like to ask the media to please consider the deep sorrow of their families and relatives”.

UPDATE 2: Aeradot. is reporting that Takeuchi died of a suicide and is reporting that she had hung herself in the bedroom of her home.  Her husband discovered her and contacted Shibuya police and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.  The website is reporting that there was no suicide note.

UPDATE 3: Chunich Sports is reporting that an emergency call was made at 2:00 a.m. on the 27th.  Nakabayashi found his wife in the bedroom closet and she was unconscious.  Their two children were home at the time but nothing seemed unusual.

Takeuchi was married to actor Nakamura Shido (48) in 2005 and gave birth to his eldest son that same year.  The couple divorced in 2008.

She remarried actor Nakabayashi Taiki (35) in February 2019.

Takeuchi has appeared in many dramas and films including “Strawberry Night”, “The Confidence Man”, “Kessan! Chushingura”, “Ring”, “FLOWERS”, “Pride”, Lunch no Joou”, “Scandal Senmon Bengoshi Queen”, “Mukudono” and many more!

Takeuchi won “Best Actress” in 2003 for the Japan Academy Award for her role in the film “Yomigaeri” and in 2005 for the film “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu”.
