The number of entertainer suicides in Japan in 2020 is shocking many people.
From “Terrace House” castmember Kimura Hana, Miura Haruma, Ashina Sei, Fujiki Takashi and it is being reported by media outlets that Takeuchi Yuko is the latest.
Miura and Takeuchi, both who starred in the film “Confidence Man” are first-class actors and now both have died.
There have been reports since Ashina Sei’s death of the number of entertainer suicides increasing in 2020 possibly due to the environment of entertainers that have changed since COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).
One actor told Tokyo Sports, “I lost confidence as an actor. I’ve been staying at home because of the coronavirus. I worry if I can find work even after this. Even if there was a job offer, I wonder if it would be canceled again”.
