For this first S.E.S. Japanese CD single, “I’m Your Girl” was pretty cool to find, own and listen as it was their initial music start in Japan but also found it awesome to see the inclusion of remixes of their popular Korean songs on the single during that time was pretty awesome! Definitely not an easy CD single to find but if you are fan, check it out!

Flashback – Re-reviewed in 2013
When S.E.S. first came into the Korean pop music scene, I was head over heels over this trio.
The group which consisted of SEA (Bada), Eugene and Shoo was my favorite female group that I would listen to their first and second Korean album over and over again. I then started to see them on the Japanese karaoke music show “The Yoru no Hit Parade” and realized that they were being prepared for the Japanese music industry and sure enough, they released their first CD single “Meguriau Sekai”.
While in Yokohama, at a Blockbuster video rental shop, about to rent “Andromeda” feat. SPEED, I noticed the S.E.S. single “I’m your Girl” and was actually surprised because that is the name of a Korean song that I enjoyed. So, was curious if they released a Japanese version of their song or what.
Actually, what this CD single is are two things. I guess you can consider it a 1.5 CD single because it contains their Japanese CD song “Meguri su Sekai” and “Believe in Love” but would feature a remix of that song and also a remix of their two Korean hit songs.
I’m familiar with DJ John Robinson for his work at Asia clubs including the VELFARRE club in Roppongi but also familiar with Kreva and all in all, the CD single is pretty much a remix single. “Meguriau Sekai” gets the Miami-style remix from DJ Uncle, “Believe in Love” gets the John Robinson Groove Mix, “(‘Cause) I’m your Girl getting the KREVA (from KICK THE CAN CREW) remix and “Oh, My Love” getting a Cyber Soul Mix from T. Haketa.
The CD insert just features a picture of the three girls and track listing inside. A slim CD bi-fold.
For those following Korean pop stars performing in Japan, before BoA and before Tohoshinki, there was S.E.S.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly a decade since the release of this CD single. S.E.S. broke up in 2002 and a lot of the K-Pop female groups that I enjoyed such as Fin.k.l and Baby V.O.X. have as well.
But as their tenth year approaches, I sometimes wonder if the trio would reunite. Sure, Bada has a music career, Eugene is an actress and Shoo is in musicals but it would be great to see them reunite even if its just for a brief concert or CD single release.
All in all, for this first S.E.S. Japanese CD single, “I’m Your Girl” was pretty cool to find, own and listen as it was their initial music start in Japan but also found it awesome to see the inclusion of remixes of their popular Korean songs on the single during that time was pretty awesome!
