[Updated] Japanese footballer Shibasaki Gaku and former Hello! Project artist Mano Erina are now married

Japanese footballer Shibasaki Gaku  (25) (midfielder for Spanish club Getafe CF and plays for Team Japan) and former Hello! Project artist, Mano Erina (27) are now married.

There was a lot of confusion of when they will get married but Mano clarified on her blog that there were a lot of reports that she had gotten married but because she and Shibasaki respected each others work, they wanted to announce when they became a married couple.

And so, she made the announcement on her blog.

According to friends of the couple, the two met through common acquaintances back in the fall of 2016 and the two would have a long-distance relationship for a year and a half, as Mano is based in Japan and Shibasaki is currently in Spain.

Back in April, the two reported that they were getting married but would not confirm anything until after the World Cup.
