Former Morning Musume member Yoshizawa Hitomi is released on bail, makes first public apology

Former Morning Musume member Yoshizawa Hitomi (33) was released on bail.  The singer paid three million yen for bail.

Yoshizawa was arrested back on September 6th and indicted in crimes for negligence and drinking under the influence and striking two people and fleeing from the scene.  Her blood alcohol was four times over the legal limit.

Yoshizawa appeared from the staff side entrance of Harajuku Station at 5:30 p.m.  The first public site of the singer since her arrest.

She wore simple clothing, a black skirt and white shirt.  She walked towards the press, lowered her head for seven seconds and said, “I apologize deeply”.  She was then escorted into a black van.
