19 hours ago, a post was made by IZ*ONE staff of a new VLIVE video to feature IZ*ONE members Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi taking a Korean class with a special guest. The VLIVE was announced for October 9th at 4:00 a.m.

Not long after the post, many IZ*ONE fans visited the channel and began posting and waiting hours before the VLIVE video was to go live. Many assuming that October 9th at 4:00 am would be Korean Time.
Many fans stayed on the VLIVE chatting with other fans from around the world, discussing fandom topics, OVERHIT and for the most part, seeing fans from all over the world communicating peacefully with one another was quite fascinating.
We made the first observance around over 16 hours ago and to our surprise, a lot of people were on the VLIVE anticipating a IZ*ONE video and chatting with each other and many called the activity “Blackscreen”.
While October 9th and 4:00 a.m. came and gone, others realizing perhaps it was a mistake in time considering that it was 4:00 in the morning, nevertheless, fans continued to wait and each time we observed, the discussions were still aplenty with no sign of slowing down.
Fans were determined to stay and make sure they surpassed every million mark with VLIVE hearts and to let the global pop group know that they are there to support them for their upcoming debut.
By 2:00 p.m. KST, the hearts surpassed 28 million and by 3:00 p.m. they were reaching 30 million hearts, fans were determined to reach up to 40 million hearts, which probably may be accomplished within 24 hours since the posting.
Needless to say, we have seen so many emotions since the airing of the finale of “Produce48”, we have seen a variety of comments from supportive fans, a few disgruntled fans, a few fans who are intent to bring politics or drama to stir up the pot but fortunately, we have seen mostly love and support to see international fandom for IZ*ONE growing at such a quick rate that anyone who were doubters have suddenly been converted to believers. Many who became IZ*ONE fans and now believe that this global pop group will succeed.
It was good to see the best of fandom on display for over 20 hours, even if it was for a blackscreen on IZ*ONE’s live chat but for those who were part of those many hours, taking part in communicating with other fans all over the world peacefully and discussing what they enjoy about the group and each member, it was no doubt an amazing sight to observe.
If anything, all music fans know fandom is a major part of a group’s success and from what we seen since the “Produce48” finale up to this point, the popularity of IZ*ONE is for real, the worldwide fandom is growing and at this point, we can only look forward to IZ*ONE’s music debut and their upcoming reality show.
IZ*ONE (pronounced as “Eyez One”/IZ=12 and the meaning is 12 members coming togther as ONE) members Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minjoo and Lee Chae Yeon will be taking the next major step as a music group, as a new family and as a group that is determined in working hard, to become better and to one day perform for fans globally.
And as these 12 members came together as one, we will no doubt remember October 9th as the day IZ*ONE fans from all over the world came together as one before the group’s debut.
