Former Morning Musume member Mitsui Aika has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry on November 3rd after the contract expired with her management.
Mitsui is focusing on cooking and learning to study other languages and will continue with her studies in New Zealand (she went abroad to study English in New Zealand back in 2014 and she announced back in July that she will be studying English again).
Mitsui joined Morning Musume as an 8th grade student in 2006. In 2011, Mitsui suffered a fracture to her ankle and while she participated in a few live performances on a wheelchair or on a stool, the injury gotten worse and had to wait for it to heal. The following year, in May 2012, she and Niigaki Risa announced they were graduating from Morning Musume.
Mitsui would become a member of a new unit known as GREEN FIELDS alongside Shimizu Saki and Miyazaki Yuka.
