LOVE SPREAD’s Machida Ryota passed away, viewing and service to be held on November 18th in Brooklyn

LOVE SPREAD, the experimental bitpop/Post J-Pop duo from Brooklyn (consisting of guitarist/producer/vocalist Machida Ryota and keyboardist/synths/vocalist Iyama Narumi) have been busy traveling the country and performing at live events.

Narumi took to social media to post sad news that Machida has passed away:

TV talent Eguchi Tomomi (wife of comedian Tsumami Edamame) posted sad news on her blog and Instagram about her nephew's passing.

Eguchi wrote:

"My nephew Ryota, who was like a son, passed away on November 10th due to acute heart failure and departed to Heaven.  He just turned 31-years-old last month.

He lived in Brooklyn, New York and was in the band LOVE SPREAD.  I have posted about Ryota several times on my blog .

Tears are overflowing when I think about the various memories and I thought I would have opportunities to post more fun blogs but now I can not do it.

I think about Narumi's sorrow and losing her partner for LOVE SPREAD, it breaks my heart.

Eguchi wrote when thinking about Ryota, "When he was 15, he said he wanted a guitar.  I promised I would buy him a guitar if he seriously studied playing the guitar and not say he got tired of it.  He kept his promise, he taught himself how to play the guitar and then he studied music at the University of San Diego and was part of the band, sound drug.  Then he went to New York alone and formed the band called LOVE SPREAD and in Japan, he performed at Fuji Rock in 2016.

Eguchi wrote about how on Mother's Day in America, he would send his love to her and send her flowers.

Eguchi wrote after receiving many encouraging comments, "This is a sad news but now I am filled with gratitude just being blessed with the best nephew".
