SKE48’s Suda Akari comments on the Yamaguchi Maho assault incident

SKE48’s Suda Akari (27) was interviewed on TBS “Sunday Japan” and commented on the Yamaguchi Maho assault.

As various AKB48G members have given their own feelings, Suda’s comments on the show and on Twitter received a mixed reaction.

When discussing what she talked about, Suda tweeted about how one should keep their dignity as an idol while in contact with fans.

Suda believes that even if she was a member involved with the assailants, it would be best to avoid expressing any apology. And she does that that this is her personal opinion.

This is where certain people took issue with Suda’s comments, because they believe that those who did give up Yamaguchi’s personal information should apologize.

Suda also wrote that even though she feels it’s a mistake of what the assailants did, she felt it would be cruel if members in their teens and twenties had to feel these restrictions for the rest of their lives.

Suda also feels that members who are victims will be carrying the fear for the rest of their lives but felt that it’s a feeling that others can’t empathize other than the person themselves who had experienced it.

Suda wrote that every member who dreamed of becoming an idol should not have to carry these wounds throughout their lifetime, because she wants people who who dream that being an idol is a wonderful profession, to keep believing in that.
