NGT48’s Ogino Yuka tweets apology to fans

As more people are frustrated with what has transpired with the Yamaguchi Maho incident, the management’s response, rumors running rampantly whether or not NGT48 members jeopardized her safety or were bullying her online and whether or not one of the assailants was released because of a possible connection to a high ranking music executive, but what is known is that there is a fracture between NGT48 and their fandom.

NGT48 ace member Ogino Yuka, who was recently unfollowed by Yamaguchi Maho started to receive negative comments on her Twitter and similar to the other members who have been criticized, Ogino sent an apology to fans for their worries.

Ogino wrote, “As a member of NGT48, I sincerely apologize for the worries we caused towards our fans due to recent events.  Our purpose is to sing and dance and to smile together with our fans during handshake events.  I would never do anything that would sadden or betray our fans, members, staff and everyone who supports us, and I haven’t done anything now or will I do ever.  On January 10, NGT48 Theatre had its third anniversary and I thank everyone for their support.  Please support Ogino Yuka and NGT48!  And for my fans, please believe in me and let’s walk together from now on”.

When other NGT48 members posted their apologies or how they were not involved in the incident, people commented that it was NGT48 staff that wrote the message and not the members themselves.

Ogino followed up her tweet with a “I am seeing comments that someone else wrote this but I wrote it myself”.
