Voice actor Ishizuka Shunsuke (68) passed away in August 2018 after fighting esophageal cancer.
It was announced that the late Ishizuka’s voice will be featured as narration in the 22nd film “Mewtwo no Gyakushu EVOLUTION” (Mewtwo’s counterattack EVOLUTION), which will be released on July 12th. Ishizuka has been the voice in 21 consecutive films and will continue in this 22nd new work.
Ishizuka has served as narrator and the voice of Professor Okido Yukinari in the Japanese anime series “Pokemon” and the films.
