Singer/actress Sakai Noriko will appear on the special “The Karaoke Battle mata Yacchau? Ano dai hit-kyoku, Go honnin wa nan-ten daseru no ka SP” (The Karaoke Battle – Do you want to do it again? That big hit song, how many points can you get?) on March 27th on TV Tokyo at 6:55 p.m.
On the program, Sakai will perform “Aoi Usagi” and then everyone will sing and try to match or beat the score of the original singer.
The song was Sakai’s huge hit from 1995 that was the theme song of “Hoshi no Kinka” and it was the first time Sakai performed the song on television in 11 years.
Sakai said that she can’t remove the song from her setlist at a concert or dinner show because it’s a must-have song that fans want to hear”.
