Niigata Prefecture and Niigata City received a total of about 2,000 opinions and complaints via e-mail.
Most of the requests were that NGT48 not be used for public relations campaigns for the administration due to AKS handling of NGT48 member, Yamaguchi Maho’s assault.
According to Niigata Prefecture, from January to April 12, they have received around 1,800 opinions, many requesting that the prefecture cut relations with NGT48.
In addition, opinions were not only from within the prefecture but people living outside the prefecture. But also, they wanted to make clear that they feel the same person was sending opinions over and over again.
Meanwhile, Niigata City has received over 150 complaint phone calls and e-mails as of March 26th and people calling for the city to cut ties with NGT48.
