YouTuber Hikaru donated 1 million yen to Kyoto Animation at animate’s donation box. Hikaru wrote on Twitter (with a video of his donation at animate) that he doesn’t watch much anime but he loves a lot of manga. He personally thought about this and wanted it to do it.

When asked why he is sharing the video of him donating, Hikaru said, “I’m tweeting this because I’m a little influential. I understand that certain things should be done behind-the-scenes, and I understand there are people who will agree and disagree. But I did it not because I care for a favorite character but because I love Japanese anime manga”.
