Music artist YUI has been focusing on her music career as part of the band Flower Flowers since 2013, but prior to her debut as a solo artist back in 2005, YUI was passionate of wanting to pursue music that she would make music and would perform in live stret performances.
She studied on how to play guitar and took a class on songwriting at a music cram school in her hometown of Fukuoka, dreaming to become a professional.
YUI applied for an audition hosted by Sony Music Japan and on February 23, 2005, released “Feel My Soul”, her major debut single and in 2006, she would become the main actress in the film “Taiyou no Uta”.
And while YUI retired from performing solo back in 2012, people were shocked to see YUI performing a street performance solo at Tanukikoji Shopping Street in Sapporo.

YUI posted a photo of her at the street performance in Sapporo and was nervous as it was her first time doing a street performance in a long time.
