Shimazaki Haruka working part-time at a Shibuya yakiniku restaurant

Shimazaki Haruka (25), known during her AKB48 years as “Paruru” is working part-time at a yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant in Shinjuku.

Rumors started going around the Internet that the former idol turned actress was working at the restaurant and many were wondering if she is having financial problems?

“Friday” investigated the rumor to find out if it was true and went to the restaurant after 7:00 p.m. and they confirmed that Shimazaki was working at a yakiniku restaurant.

Shimazaki wore her hair in a ponytail and was wearing glasses and she took the “Friday” journalist’s order.  Unlike her AKB48 years where she was known for her “salty” attitude, she was giving good customer service with a smile.

The “Friday” journalist ordered a beer and oolong tea but when he asked what meat was recommended, she was surprised and said she needed to get the store manager.

According to the journalist, Shimazaki worked until 11:30 p.m. right before closing.  He tried to speak to her before she left, but she left by taxi in a hurry.

The journalist asked staff of why she was working at the restaurant and was told that she wanted to study (as an actress) and get a better understanding of the feelings of the general public, so she wanted to experience work as a normal member of society.
