Aniplex apologizes for music track offensive to Muslims on bonus CD which came with the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Blu-ray and DVD vol. 4

“Kimetsu no Yaiba” vol. 4 was released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 30th which came with a bonus drama/music CD.

But on track 51, there was an improper use of audio relating to Islam and was produced using commercially available audio material which according to Aniplex, was never intended to hurt or blasphemize Muslims.

Many responses on YouTube were negative as Muslims were upset that adzan (call of prayer) was used with music. And Muslims posted that it is very disrespectful.

Aniplex apologized for creating any inconvenience towards Muslims and in the future will deepen their understanding of Islam and its culture and pay more attention to the production of the sound sources, so that the situation will never happen again.

Aniplex will take the matter seriously and stop shipping the product and will go to stores to remove the product and will exchange the bonus CDs.
