Police confirms paper seized at Sawajiri Erika’s home had traces of LSD, Sawajiri out on bail

As actress Sawajiri Erika was released on bail on December 6th, police announced that in addition to finding 0.19 grams of powder containing MDMA, 0.6 grams of liquid containing LSD and a small piece of paper laced with LSD were found at her home back on November 16th.

Sawajiri has admitted, according to investigative sources, that she has used MDMA, cocaine and LSD.  Her urine test after her arrest had tested negative for any illegal drugs in her system.

The Tokyo District Court granted Sawajiri’s attorney’s request for her bail, which was set at 5 million yen ($46,000).

Sawajiri released a statement through her management agency, Avex Entertainment, “I sincerely apologize for troubles and concerns which I have caused.  I regret betraying so many people from the bottom of my heart”.

Sawajiri said she is determined to overcome drug addiction, while her management said, “We will offer her support to rehabilitate under the guidance of experts”.
