Avex issues statement on Sawajiri Erika

Avex Management has released a statement titled “Request for Sawajiri Erika” on December 13th.

Sawajiri Erika (33) was charged with violating the Narcotics Control Law on December 6th.

The statement was as follows, “Sawajiri Erika was released on bail on December 6th and is currently undergoing examination and treatment at a hospital in Tokyo to decided on her future rehabilitation policy”.

“She has accepted the opinions of our lawyers since bail and have been working hard with the guidance of doctors everyday for rehabilitation, while receiving the support from her family and the company.  We will support rehabilitation and will continue to meet with her to oversee the rehabilitation situation and will report regularly”.

For the media, Avex requests that as Sawajiri is devoting her time to rehabilitation, and to please refrain from interviewing her, her family and the hospital.
