HKT48’s Tomonagi Mio announced that she is graduating

HKT48’s Tomonaga Mio (21) is graduating.

The well-known member of the group announced her intent to graduate at a theater performance in Hakata on December 21st.

Tomonaga told the audience, “I want to work hard in a different world, not just as an idol.  The remaining time is short but please let me do my best as an idol until the end”.

The final handshake will be on December 24th and her graduation performance will be held on January 15th.

Tomonaga was a double center for the group’s second single “Melon Juice” (released in September 2013) and in 2015, ranked #21 in the AKB48 Senbatsu Sosenkyo.
