The 61st annual Nihon Record Taisho Awards (organized by the Japan Composers Association) was held on December 30th and Hello! Project’s 12-member idol group BEYOOOOONDS was awarded for best new artists of the year.
The award was Hello Project’s sixth best new artist award as Morning Musume took it back in 1998, ℃-ute in 2007, S/mileage in 2010, Kobushi Factory in 2015 and Tsubaki Factory in 2017.
