Former Morning Musume member Ishikawa Rika celebrates her 20th anniversary of her debut

Former Morning Musume member Ishikawa Rika celebrated her 20th anniversary of her debut as a 4th generation member of Morning Musume. But the biggest surprise was when she wrote on her blog, “Please continue to wait until Ishikawa Rika returns!”.

Is Ishikawa Rika considering a return to the entertainment industry?

Ishikawa posted a selfie on her blog and wrote, “I’m wearing makeup for the first time in awhile.  I am usually a mama with a headband without makeup.  But after a long absence, I took a selfie.  I took a lot of shots at various angles.  This is the best photo.  My face looks squishy…. But the angle is important.  Lol… I will do my best to lose the weight after childbirth!”.

Ishikawa married pro baseball pitcher Nogami Ryoma (formerly of the Seibu Lions and now Yomiuri Giants) in March 2017.  She gave birth to a baby boy in 2018 and her second boy in January 2020.

She joined Morning Musume at the age of 15 and will be remembered for being the center of Morning Musume’s hit song “The Peace”.
