Model NANAMI announced for the first time that she is former actress Horikita Maki’s younger sister

Model NANAMI appeared on NTV’s “行列のできる法律相談所” (Legal Counseling Center) and for the first time, the model said she is the younger sister of former actress Horikita Maki (who left the entertainment industry in 2017 after she got married).

Their have been rumors for years on SNS for many years that the two were related but for the first time, NANAMI said in her own words that the two are sisters.

NANAMI was asked by Oricon on why she never confessed in the past that they were sisters, NANAMI said, “It was a conflict of interest.  I used to believe there was no reason for me to say it.  My sister is my sister and I’m me.  Of course, I could have appeared on television and said anything but for me making it public was because there have been so many rumors for many years, If I didn’t say anything, there would be even more speculation”.
