Nikkei Shimbun posted an apology for an article that said the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’20 was canceled

Nikkei Shimbun released an apology on May 22nd for reporting that the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’20 was canceled.

The article caused confusion as there have been no announcement that the festival was canceled. Festivals that have been canceled are “ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2020” and “RISING SUN FESTIVAL 2020 in EZO” due to the novel coronavirus.

As of right now, the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’20 is still a go and will take place August 21-23, 2020 at Naeba Ski Resort, Yuzawa-cho, Niigata Prefecture.

The latest post on May 14th that new festival items (t-shirts, caps, bags and more) are available.
