Ohwada Miho writes about getting screened for breast cancer

On an October 8th Instagram post, actress Ohwada Miho wrote about getting screened for breast cancer.

Ohwada writes that if there is a person in your family who had breast cancer, the chance of someone else having breast cancer in the family goes up by two times.

Ohwada wrote that she had a breast cancer screening which her mother had recommended her many times and there was no abnormality. But reminded women of the importance of getting screened. Ohwada also put in hashtags of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October, Pink Ribbon.


Ohwada’s mother is actress Okae Kumiko, who died of complications due to the novel coronavirus.  Okae had a weakened immunity due to radiation therapy (from January-February) after undergoing breast cancer surgery at the end of 2019.
