Due to COVID-19, Ikimonogakari announced that they had to cancel all of their 27 performances

On November 22nd, Ikimonogakari announced on their website that they had to cancel all 27 performances for “Yakult Mirumiru presents Ikimonogakari no Minnasan, Konnitsua!! 2020 ~Kessei 20-shunenda yo!! WE DO!!!~.

The statement is as follows, “We have made effords to hold these performances but due to various factors such as securing a venue was extremely difficult, it is possible to carry out a hall tours and venues in different regions, but it  is still difficult to determine due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection starting to increase nationwide.  Ikimonogakari live is attended by a wide range of attendees, from children to the elderly.  Considering that many generations that attend and the increase risk of being infected while visiting, members feel that it is necessary to make careful judgments on ensuring the safety of customers compared to normal live performances.  After consideration of these factors, we decided to cancel this hall tour.  We sincerely apologize to everyone who purchased a ticket and believed in the possibility of it happening until this day”.

Vocalist Yoshioka Kiyoe echoed the sentiments on her Instagram:

Everyone who was looking forward to the live, I’m really sorry for this result. I envisioned the moment when we could deliver our songs directly to everyone, and I couldn’t help struggled with the realization that the tour may not happen.

In addition, we will do our best for now, encouraging one for that moment when we can smile with everyone at live performances.

Yesterday, I announced the release of Ikimonogakari’s NEW SINGLE “BAKU” and now the three of us are creating new songs. These are important songs that we want to deliver to you. Please look forward to it.

When we meet you again, we would like to spend more time together with you performing our newly created songs and be back stronger than ever!

In such an environment, let’s all take care of our bodies.

Thank you for your continued support!
