On November 15th, MISIA was involved in a horse riding accident while being interviewed by TBS’ “NEWS23”.
MISIA suffered a fractured spine and was told that she would be out for six weeks.
It was announced today that MISIA’s doctor has given her the go ahead to return for a performance at the Tokyo International Forum in Marunouchi, Tokyo on the 19th and 20th.
MISIA wrote, “I’m very sorry for the concern and inconvenience. I am recovering from my injury and I want to sing little by little without overdoing it. I will be performing at the Tokyo International Forum which will consist mainly of song selections from the new album “So Special Christmas” released on the 18th of last month”.
MISIA continued, “I was very encouraged by the many warm messages of support from everyone. As the situation of the need for social distancing continues due to the coronavirus, I swear that “the distance between my heart is very close and I want to deliver songs to everyone.”
