NMB48 member Shiroma Miru posted a video on her YouTube channel, first to apologize to people for the inconvenience and then to discuss her symptoms during her time when she tested positive of the novel coronavirus.
Shiroma explained that on November 28th, when she woke up, she had a sore throat and felt she had a headache and her eyes felt heavy and she knew that something was strange, so she got checked and tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
She was taken to a hotel where she received treatment (Note: in Japan, many local governments recommend, not mandatory, people that are mildly ill to stay at a hotel, paid by the government, rather than recover at home to avoid spreading the disease to a family member, also doctors and nurses do daily checkups to prevent those who live alone from being critically ill.) and what she ate while in quarantine. How they had to stay inside the hotel and how quiet it was. How she looked forward to when she could leave the hotel.
Shiroma said that while in the hotel, she had a headache, she had a sore throat but then she lost taste and smell. She was bedridden and couldn’t even eat.
She talked with family and read messages from friends and as grateful for the positive message from AKB48 members.
Shiroma also reminded people to please be careful of the coronavrius and the importance of washing hands, disinfecting, etc.
