“Overlord” Season IV and film has been announced

The production of an animated film and the fourth season of the “Overlord” TV series has been announced on May 8th at a special program to commemorate the distribution of the new work.

The film is said to be a “Holy Kingom Edition” which corresponds to volumes 12 and 13, while details of the season IV broadcast have not yet been released.

The anime adaptation of “Overlord” is based on a dark fantasy novel of the same name published by KADOKAWA since 2012. The first phase of the anime series was broadcast in 2015 and has been animated in three seasons so far. The cumulative total of the series has exceeded 7.6 million copies and in March 2020, the latest story of “Overlord XIV was released.
