Chiba Shinichi (Sonny Chiba) has passed away due to COVID

Action legend Chiba Shinichi (82) best known worldwide as “Sonny Chiba” has passed away due to complications from the novel coronavirus.

The actor contracted COVID-19 at the end of July and was treated without hospitalization, but his pneumonia gotten worse and was hospitalized on August 8th.

Chiba is best known for his action roles in films such as “Battle Without Humanity: Deadly Fight in Hiroshima”, “The Street Fighter” and even had appearances in Quentin Tarantino’s “True Romance” and “Kill Bill”.
