Morning Musume ’21 ace Sato Masaki (22) announced that she is graduating from Morning Musume and Hello! Project.
Her final performance will be at the group’s Nippon Budokan performance in Tokyo on December 13th.
Sato was among one of the members who was absent from the single release commemorative event held in Osaka on February 21st due to sickness with extreme abdominal pain and she was diagnosed the day after with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Although she had recovered, she had a relapse and had to suspend activities and under the guidance of her doctor, the frequency and intensity of the pain caused by eating habits was changed and through medicine, her health had improved but there were still problems of her taking part in group activities which led to her graduation announcement.
Sato wants to continue her musical activities as a solo artist,
Sato Masaki joined Morning Musume as a 10th generation member back in 2011.
