Former AKB48 member turned ramen entrepreneur Umezawa Mayuka will ban ramen critics from her ramen shops due to harassment

Umezawa Mayuka is a former idol who was part of “Baito AKB” (from 2014-2015), which are AKB48G members who worked part-time, as they pursued other careers.

Umezawa opened her first ramen shop “Mensho Yagumo” at the age of 20 back in 2017 and operates three ramen shops and is planning on a fourth.

Umezawa announced that she will no longer allow ramen critics to her shop due to power harassment, sexual harassment, slander and more.  She detailed her experiences on her Twitter account.

One critic came into her shop to drink sake and started calling her Mayuka-chan, speaking to her like a friend without honorifics and he kept asking to take a photo with her, which she refused.  The critic then started take pictures close up of her body without her face which frightened Umezawa.

The critic said he was drunk.
