SPEED’s tribute album 『SPEED 25th Anniversary TRIBUTE ALBUM “SPEED SPIRITS”』will be released in November, artists to sing SPEED covers announced

On November 11th, the tribute album 『SPEED 25th Anniversary TRIBUTE ALBUM “SPEED SPIRITS”』will be released and the jacket design and artists to participate have been revealed.

SPEED is a four member all-female group from Okinawa (that came from Amuro Namie and MAX’s Okinawa Actors School) that debuted back on August 5, 1996 with “Body & Soul”. The group was immensely popular with consecutive #1 hit singles and albums in the Oricon Charts until they disbanded in 2000 to pursue their solo careers and to study abroad.

The group made a brief comeback in 2008, but since then, member Imai Eriko has focused on a career as a politician, while the others are still involved with music and talent work, a few are focused on their marriage life.
