The original “Cowboy Bebop” anime series voice talents will reunite for the Japanese dub of NETFLIX live action “Cowboy Bebop”

The announcement of original “Cowboy Bebop” anime voice talent reuniting to do the voice over for the Japanese dub of the NETFLIX live action version of “Cowboy Bebop” has received a lot of fanfare on SNS.

For the protagonist Spike Spiegel, Yamadera Koichi, will be doing the voice over for the Japanese dub of Spike Spiegel of NETFLIX’s live action version of “Cowboy Bebop”.  Yamadera first started doing the voice over for Spike Spiegel back in 1998.

Yamadera said of doing the voice of Spike, “I hope I can bring out the atmosphere of Spike that I have played while matching the performance of John Cho who is playing Spike wonderfully this time”.

In addition to Yamadera coming back, voice talents Hayashibara Megumi will reprise her voice role of Faye Valentine, Wakamoto Norio will reprise his voice role of Vicious, Takashima Gara will voice his role of Julia and Ishizuka Unsho will reprise his voice role as Jet Black for the Japanese dub.

In addition, it has been decided that the anime “Cowboy Bebop” will be distributed to 190 countries around the world on Netflix from October 20th. Watanabe Shinichiro, who was the director of the TV anime version, said, “It is a surprise and a great honor that the world of ‘Cowboy Bebop’ has passed more than 20 years and will continue in the future.”
