Miyawaki Sakura’s contract with Vernalossom has now expired

Miyawaki Sakura ended her activities with IZ*ONE’s disbandment at the end of April 2021 and graduated from HKT48 back in June and now, her Japan contract with Vernalossom has expired.

According to the agency, “We are pleased to report that the management contract between Sakura Miyawaki and Vernalossom Co., Ltd. has expired. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff for their support. Thank you for your continued patronage to Miyawaki Sakura”.

Miyawaki has been with the agency (Vernalossom was formerly known as AKS Co., Ltd., which was established back in 2006) since her second year of junior high school.

Miyawaki has been with HKT48 since 2011 and served concurrently with AKB48 in 2014. She became the center with Watanabe Mayu for the 38th single “Kibouteki Refrain” and was the center for AKB48’s 10th anniversary single “Kimi wa Melody”.

There have been media reports that Miyawaki Sakura has signed a contract in South Korea with HYBE Labels (which represents popular boy band, BTS) and is to join an upcoming girl group managed by HYBE’s subsidiary Source Music.
